The Free Law Project’s mission is to build tools that facilitate public access to primary legal information, including court opinions, dockets, and oral arguments. Public.Resoure.Org, for example, is a primary source for the Free Law Project, but there is no practical way for consumers to access the information. But CourtListener, one of the Free Law Project’s tools for the public, provides a simple search box that anyone can use.

The RECAP browser extension for Firefox and Chrome adds documents to the RECAP archive whenever they are downloaded from PACER (RECAP is PACER, spelled backwards).

The Free Law Project makes PACER data available through its public APIs with means-based pricing.
